This year, many Gamma Phi women made it their goal to participate in a running event, whether that be a 5k, half marathon, or full marathon. In the past month, there have been four significant races that our sisters participated in. One was the Tallahassee marathon on February 11th where runners chose to run either a half or full marathon. Another was the Relay for Life 5k on February 17th which helped fundraise for the American Cancer Society. There was also the Donna Marathon Weekend from February 2-4 which benefitted breast cancer research and raised money for The Donna Foundation. Lastly, the Alpha Phi 5k on February 18th was held for National Cancer Awareness Month and benefitted Alpha Phi’s philanthropy, raising a significant amount of money for the American Cancer Society.Â
Congratulations to our sisters: Gemma Conroy, Lauren Snyder, Mallory Lawrence, Hannah Hill, Corinne Kasantly, Alyssa Beard, Genevieve Boisvert, McKayla Guest, Kayla Heady, Mackenzie Bing, Lauren Bishop, and Tori Reis. Great job running these races and keep up the great work!
