On December 7th, 2025, the members of the Beta Mu chapter of Gamma Phi Beta gathered at Cascades Park to volunteer and participate in the annual Girls on the Run 5k. Filled with energy, excitement, and a shared passion for empowering young girls, our chapter came together to support a cause that promotes confidence, strength, and self-love.
Despite the rainy weather, the spirit of the day was anything but gloomy. Rain or shine, the girls showed up with smiles, energy, and excitement, making the event unforgettable for everyone involved. Members of the Beta Mu chapter volunteered in a variety of ways such as cheering on runners, handing out medals, distributing food, and making sure each participant felt hyped, supported, and ready to cross the finish line. Many of our members also dedicated their time to coaching teams, forming meaningful connections with the girls and encouraging them every step of the way.
Overall, the Girls on the Run 5k was. powerful reminder of the impact that showing up, no matter the circumstances, can have. Even with rain, our chapter was able to create a positive, uplifting environment that celebrated confidence, perserverance, and joy. Events like these not only allow us to give back to our community, but also strengthen our bond as sisters while living out the values of Gamma Phi Beta. We are so grateful to have been a part of such a meaningful experience and look forward to continuing to support organizations that empower young girls to believe in themselves.
